It’s not every day that you're called on to shoot a pink mustache! The client in this case is the manufacturer of this cute little dashboard buddy. These glowing icons announce the arrival of your Lyft rideshare driver.
This particular product presented a unique lighting challenge, however. We needed to reveal the surface quality of the product and render the glow it emits, plus fit into the client's website design of black backgrounds. A shiny black surface allowed the glow to be evident in the reflection while soft source lighting gave the plastic case a nice sheen.
Interior component
A secondary shot of the interior components gave us a chance to add to our 'stache portfolio with this curious polka-dot part. This piece is integral to the luminous pink glow inside the Lyft mustache, but we needed to make it shine in a photograph all by itself!
We think this product photography came out uber cool!
